LVAD Implant Surgery Tutorial

Ranjit JohnAndrew ShafferAn LVAD Implant surgery, preformed at the University of Minnesota Medical School-Fairview Hospital and tapped on Monday March 19, 2018, will be shown during the Clinical Cases 1 Session. Drs. Ranjit John and Andrew Shaffer will be discussing the technical details of LVAD implantation with our DMD attendees and will be onsite to narrate and answer questions.

The objective of the session is to discuss the strengths, weaknesses and design opportunities for the tools and devices used in modern surgery. (pictured l-r: Dr. John and Dr. Shaffer)
