da Vinci Surgical System Interactive Exhibit
Think 4, Graduate Minneapolis

Tuesday & Wednesday from 8:00am-4:00pm (closed during lunches)

Visit this interactive exhibit during the 2020 DMD Conference to explore the da Vinci Surgical System. DMD attendees will get an inside look at just how precise this $2 million dollar robotic surgical system is and what it allows surgeons to do. While at the 2018 & 2019 MN State Fairs Dr. Weight's team "operated" on a Pronto Pup, peeled the skin of a grape and removing the seeds from a strawberry, without damaging the fruit itself.

This robotic surgical system gives the surgeon an advanced set of instruments and a 3D high- definition view of the area they are operating on. It is used in urology, general surgery, cardio thoracic and gynecology procedures, including patients who have been diagnosed with prostate, kidney, lung, gynecological and colorectal cancers as well as hernias.

The benefits this surgical advancement offers for the patient, includes quicker recovery (the patient can typically go home the next day), less chance of infection, and higher accuracy rates for removal of desired area (tumor).

You have the opportunity to see this technology in action, ask questions and try it out yourself!
